Here is the demo of the upcoming single "Beside the Water" by Yishu Huang. The vocal part is currently being recorded, so stay tuned!

This song's arrangement is a collaboration between Yishu and Brandon Cui from the Berklee College of Music, with Yishu as the primary performer. Building upon the pentatonic scale of traditional Chinese music, the arrangement incorporates swing-style jazz beats. It redefines the musical structure with an introduction, verse, chorus, bridge, verse, and chorus. Additionally, a jazz piano improvisation solo is introduced in the bridge section. The instrumentation includes vocals, keyboard, bass, and drum sets, and live performances may also feature brass instruments.
